Might have posted this a long time ago (not sure, and too lazy to search) but decided the helo's were becoming too numerous, so it was time to add some variety . Two A-4E's from NFWS and a TA-4 from VA-127 enroute to the overhead at NKX after some DACT in the Whiskey areas, circa May, 1985.

I think so.....I called it nape one time and was corrected to say that it's a fire bomb. Too bad. Snake and nape had a pretty cool ring to it

I was corrected/educated some time ago during a dinner table conversation. Wiki says that "The Pentagon has claimed that the MK-77 has less impact on the environment than napalm." The Marine Corps has learned to be more PC as burning bad guys is not......oh wait.....

You guys do know we have GBU-series weapons in the inventory right? Last I saw from a former RAG classmatte, he was taking a selfie in front of a motivated D at 29 palms with 10 MK82's......so I guess the answer is no

I'd agree that in a RAG syllabus for an attack jet, that is somewhat funny. That said, I have dropped probably the weight of my house in live ordnance in the fleet........NCEA, workups, etc (not including deployment) give us a lot of opportunities, which is probably more commensurate with our Marine bros. You might be happy to know that we shot 2.75" rockets in workups too.
