Congrats, I think you have a very strong chance especially with your AD time in the AF... Did they give you a hard time procuring your age waivers for SNA/NFO?

Thanks...The age waiver process was actually pretty easy. All I had to do was submit my recent PT test, which pretty much mirrors the Navy PT test. It took about a week to route to the commander.

I'm in a weird position as I went to MEPS and was told "come back later so we can look at you more" instead of being given a PQ or an NPQ. My package is already in. Will a board look at my package before the MEPS stuff is done?

Maybe...they sometimes will but they are getting more picky about not being PQ'd...also FYI for everyone...Im already selected so i don't really follow this forum much anymore...but if you haven't heard already my recruiters are telling everyone that pilot and NFO are continuous rolling boards from now on...

Is it permanently or until the next scheduled board? Was there a hint at their reasoning?

They had the impression that this is a permanent change...to allow the board the flexibility to have a board when they simply receive enough kits rather than wait till an established day...seems like a good idea

This is essentially what they did up to a few years ago, they had a board nearly every month, except the dates were published, since they kind of went to this new schedule "on the fly" they seem to be making due with it as it is.

I was told it is pretty open because the navy is having a hard time keeping SWO officers because the lifestyle can be very stressful.
Thanks ABF2. Over my time of applying for the program I have heard different sources all around. I've also seen very diverse scores and met other SWO officers who've scored a 38 OAR and had a 2.2 GPA and still got in. I'm just hoping this is the lucky try #4 for me. Thanks to everyone for posting updated info on the boards. Us active duty guys don't really get any info other than this, especially when deployed.
