Hey, a fellow Eagle! How's it going?
Yep it's a Riddle 172, that pic was taken during my private pilot training a while back (about three years ago, now that I think of it)

It's going great! Hopefully we will have some good news soon! I did my training there too!

McHale's Navy

sighted nothing..sank same.
Something fishy happening on the navyOCS message board then. Thanks for the update, means we probably won't hear today and can screw our heads back on.
I stopped checking that forum a while back because they kept putting out bad gouge. You generally won't get a phone call past banker's hours, unless your OR is burning the candle late.

Yeah can't wait to hear the results, should be any day now :)

Judging by your age, you were probably finishing up around the same time I started. Out of curiosity, did you do the single-engine route with the multi add-on?

I transferred in after two years at the University of Missouri (poor tigers and the SEC :( ) ... I went the single route... While still in undergrad I got my Private / Instrument, then got hired by ERAU and finished my commercial. I never went and got my multi add-on. Just moved to Dallas in April.

Yeah. That and it is so late in the day that I doubt anything would get posted for them to see unless someone does it right before walking out the door or something.

Heh heh, Ol' BzB is an Embry Riddle alum. Won't have hob-nobbed with any of you dudes, as most here were toddlers or unborn when I graduated in Prescott, AZ!:p

I didn't start checking NavyOCS again until the selection rumor appeared last night. I saw said post, but nothing more to back it up. And my OR is weird... his "hours" are Mon-Thurs 1000-1500. The only times he ever calls, though, it is either around 0800 or well after 1700. Either way, I hung up my hat when I left work this afternoon. I don't expect him to call quite this late. So until tomorrow...

TOLGA!!!! ERAU MED??????

YES! Your pic is blurry on my phone. I wish I knew who you were.

It's cool to see so many Alum here. They weren't kidding about us being all over the industry.

Anticipation is killing me. I finally finished my undergrad coursework last night, and have been excited about that, but nearly as nervous as I have been for the results of this board. I went to the shooting range this afternoon with a friend, and the range is right next to the AFB here in Albuquerque (Kirtland). The pave hawks were flying over and I could just barely focus on my shooting.

Since it seems imminent that we will see results soon, good luck to all! I am positive we will see some SNA and NFO spots for the contributors to this page. Keep your heads up and think positive!

My grandpa flew close air support in his F4U-4 for alot of those bridge bombing missions in Korea! I've never heard of that movie but I will definitely watch!
Grantspec, hope you got to see "'Bridges....." this past Sat. I did, & enjoyed it more than ever after my first of many viewings ~55 years ago. It was great to see the CV ADM, CO & CAG, decked out in their AWG (Aviation Working Green) uniforms. As y'all know, this beautiful, warm winter uni' is no longer authorized (another victim of "global warming")? It was my favorite as a JO, & it's sad that the uniform that was worn by NA legends such as ADM Marc Mitscher & VADM Bill "Bull" Halsey is another NA tradition that's been s**tcanned. Your Grandpa would have been astonished by this loss.:(

I have know several fellow OR's that held that type of schedule, they were the ones that we not successfull.

What rank is your OR?

They can't bump people up unless the person gives the ok, once assigned a date they can ask, the "date available" is on the application for a reason.

When my OR first spoke to me about January, he asked me if it was ok, I told him 1/6 would be extremely hard, and 1/27 would be fine. He said "I'll call Chief so-and-so to let him know." The tone of our conversation was much more "can we disregard your original date?" not "we're doing this." So I do feel like I was asked, albeit not in writing.

Does this match up to everyone else's experience?
