Applying to Jan board 2013

I have my recruiter and processor set to this really obnoxious klaxon. Probably going to go off right in the middle of an exam I'm about to proctor.

As for the AD guys, other threads suggest that they usually find out through their chain of command, and I got the impression that usually meant they found out a tad slower than civilian applicants.
LFCFan, you are correct about AD personnel being notified about select and non-select status via there Chains of Command. A message will be sent to our Commanding Officer via BUPERS message and disseminated from the top to the bottom. It doesn't take long for BUPERS to generate a message regarding a select or non-select status. I'm going for the IDC board in February, but another ET2 in my office submitted her package for SWO on the previous 03DEC12 board and we have yet to hear any correspondence regarding her status. Once I hear of her status I will be sure to post because she was on the same board as a majority of yall.

They can't bump people up unless the person gives the ok, once assigned a date they can ask, the "date available" is on the application for a reason.

Sounds like they might be asking us for said ok to change our date.

I called mine last Friday... had to check phone to make sure....

So other than my recruiter saying the board was finished and this guy on navyOCS saying he got a pro rec, has anyone seen any other evidence to suggest that we should hear now and not the end of the week?

Heck I would be thrilled to find out at the end of the week. My OR was saying Jan.

In reality, it seems that answer is no. But if my recruiter calls me in the next hour, I'll let you guys know! I'm sure the others intend to do the same. Until then, I'm just lurking on here while at work to pass the time.

I have a two screened computer at work and this is almost always a tab on one.

Hah I just saw a P-3 departing from Daytona Beach. Seems like a pretty good omen to me :D

I saw a C-2 or E-2 (couldn't tell which, it was banking away from me) over the shoulder of my department chair when I told her I'd be putting in for a leave so they can plan accordingly. And the other day I saw a hornet fly in. I live near an AFB, not sure what's with all the navy stuff lately.

Got a buzzed by a C-5 earlier... not sure what to think.

Pro-Rec, but Vance for flight school.

I work next to one and the only navy planes I have seen are p8's but its been 4 months. Other than that just c5's, c-17's, although the tac demo was here about a month ago. Watching airplanes is hell on productivity.

The window at my desk is right in the way of the Davis-Monthan landing path. So distracting that I actually wrote about it in my personal statement, along with the ROTC kids doing their thing on the lawn.

Hey Pat! Had to comment back on the DAB shout out! Is that a riddle 172?

First comment - 25 / male / Dallas, Tx / SNA / 7,8,8,58 / First App / B.S. Aeronautics ERAU / Currently Sr. Airport Ops Agent

Sitting on the edge of my seat all day every day... Every ding/ring/buzz from my phone sends me rocketing out of my chair . . .

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!! Pulling for all of you!

Say what you all want about going to OCS in Jan/Feb... or that one person who got told that they were selected. We won't know anything until we get the final word... If there's one thing I've learned when I was AD it was: Someone's word doesn't mean anything until it's on paper (Remember to get everything you're told/promised on paper). That being said... I'd really like to go to OCS in Jan or Feb. Even hearing that someone got told they were selected has me clinging to my phone for a phone call...

Just heard from one of my friends at the NRD, no results have been emailed out, no results in CIRIMS yet.

Something fishy happening on the navyOCS message board then. Thanks for the update, means we probably won't hear today and can screw our heads back on.

Hey, a fellow Eagle! How's it going?
Yep it's a Riddle 172, that pic was taken during my private pilot training a while back (about three years ago, now that I think of it)
