Just remember to use the heat to melt the IP... not the actual flame. That's a sure fire way (no pun intended) to burn a hole in your uniforms.

I will be going to OCS 9 MAY 2010. I had lunch with an recent OCS grad. I asked him to tell me about OCS. He asked me if I wanted the short version, or the long version.
I told him short first, and he responded, "IT SUCKS."

lol.. you'd be surprised how many people I've seen put the flame to it and then be amazed there is a hole in their sleeve. Especially on the hash marks on dress blues.

I wasn't trying to give him a hard time... I appreciate his post and any advice he is willing to give. 4 Words were literally all of the advice I got from my lunch with a recent-OCS grad.
I don't see anything wrong with piling on a little bit. We all do it, all throughout our careers, and God knows he gets it enough as a SWO. Besides, the "I gave you -1 because your post sucks..." was pretty good. If it hurts his feelings, maybe he should take off the skirt, grow a mustache, and harden the f*ck up.

I don't disagree with piling on, but I think he's learned his lesson; he is, after all, only an Ensign. Everybody deserves some slack after taking enough !#@$%.
