would they already select people for the FY 2011 yr??

I don't know for sure but it seems feasible. If we get pro rec'd in February then get an OCS class date in June, then roll out of our 1st class (most people do) that would put our graduation date around October 1st (the start of the new fiscal year). Also some people wait a while to get their final select due to MEPS and/or security clearance stuff.

I just called my recruiter. He wasn't in but i talked to another OR that told me the SNA boards have already met for January and that they just haven't posted the results yet. So it seems like we have a couple of different speculations on what's really going on. I guess we're going to have to keep doing what we've been doing, which is WAIT.

I hope they have. Imma call the processor on Friday when he gets back from leave, for those who don't know, all the OR's have to go through him (fleet guys report to him). I'll share what I find out then.

As for everyone else, I contacted my OR today regarding my kit and he told me that they would not be viewing mine until February because SNA has met their quota for FY 2010.

This is basically what my OR said except he said it with less clarity and detail.

I'll lean more towards this speculation.

Anyone want to bet against? I think I'm 2 for 3 at this point.

I think you're OR is lost

I wouldnt be surprised. However, he seemed very very certain and reassured me that he was going to hold himself and the boards accountable for what they had told him. Apparently this is just one big clusterf*&% so Im going to do what I have been doing and wait patiently for a definitive answer.

Called my OR as well. No results and no news on boards. While she is a very nice lady and truly a treat to deal with, the general sentiment was "I'm busy, talk to your recruiter". And he didn't answer. Humph! More waiting.

I wanted to clarify this (I was on my phone at work) - I mean no disrespect by calling him lost - it's a term my OR has used to pretty much say that they're just as out of the loop as we are. They get the at board list and the pro-rec list and nothing imbetween. It is quite the cluster and because of that I would think they want to sort the big pile of applicants out and get back to regular boards.
Its kinda funny thinking about our wild speculation and how stupid it will seem even as soon as next year - but that's not gonna stop me!

This has gone from being frustrated about waiting to being frustrated about not knowing what the hell is going on...

I heard from my recruiter who contacted the SNA program manager that as of yesterday the board hasn't met yet, but was still on for January. And February was definitely still cancelled, and I got her to swear on all that's holy that I was going to be seen in March. As far as the board already selecting for '11, the fiscal year for '11 starts in October, and assuming we went to OCS in June/July we wouldnt be in SNA training until around October.

I talked to someone today that said Meteorology boards met in December but no results have been posted yet, which is weird. He also said Intel has met but no results are posted.

I know the minimum prt score for your final select letter is good low; does this mean your overall score has to be a good low or does push-ups, curl-ups, and run all have to be at least a good low? My run and pushups are fine but I can only do 45 curl-ups.

It's a composite score (my understanding anyways). Keep in mind that you're going to be an officer and leader and good-low is not necessarily good-enough. Take the PRT and PT in general seriously and work hard on it. If you're not sure what I mean then look up 'Crossfit' and 'Starting Strength'. Working out can be an addictive thing, but you've gotta find what works for you and really get into it.
