edit: Don't mean to sound like an ass but I just had two different friends on two different occasions ask me about course rules up here and how they should go about remembering all of the different things involved - I told them the same thing.

Oh, man, how do you cope with it all?

As far as the Las Cruces det, my old man says they come almost every year, so I did more research. They came here in 2007 for about 2 months while they were having a runway reconstructed. Not sure about every year though. Heres the link to the article.

There was also the small detail about TW-4 being more than 1000 X's behind. I (and some other TW-5 guys) were out there for a few weeks in 2007 and it was some neat and different flying.

We were there in 2008 too... we lost a lot of good men out there.... to barmaids and local hookers...

A-County is great. A nice hour plus drive for ARDO to sit there and do nothing? What could be better than that!

The new procedure is for the ARDO to wave off all T-34's with the gear up, even if they announce holding the gear for training. Should make things a little more interesting in the little red cart.

Two. Both VT-28. Moral of the story: Rangers Suck!

As for the gouge on any Las Cruces det... we ain't going. Like all things, it's a money issue. And although you can get more Xs out there, the FPP for Fiscal year 2010 doesn't warrant any special det.

Course rules... yeah, it's harder at Whiting. The landing pattern is harder at Corpus (crosswinds). The HAPL/LAPLs are harder at Whiting. The list goes on and on and back and forth... so what? Study the FTI and fly the procedures.

Yeah! Screw your ping pong tables! I smoked outside the flight doc's window! So what! I got used to their yelling! Figure 8 from the linemen means dance the macarena, not fire! Yeah!
