Come on man. Are we this gullible? Did anyone really think a Harrier was out there shwacking drones (especially at a higher rate than aircraft optimized for A/A)?

I was wondering about this when this whole thing was first mentioned. Especially when it's often the helos that go out and do the drone intercepts on the other side of the peninsula, to the north east.

Not that I am aware of, unless it was an exercise 'kill'. Not sure where the trend of painting 'kills' from exercises started but there are a few out there on both Navy and USAF jets. Kinda stupid if you ask me....:rolleyes:
Agree! By that metric, I should be an ace at least several dozen times over. I’d never heard this was a “thing” until your post.

Much like the ship’s CO who was photographed firing a comically F’d up rifle recently, I hope it’s an April Fools’ joke or something.
