Yeah screw OSU. Backed their way in.

Michigan v TCU was a combination of M shooting themselves in the foot and refs making some crucial calls (imho in wrong direction). Missed opportunity for sure. Should have won that game on many levels.

Not a Michigan fan either, but ya'll got rooked on that touchdown penalty. Would have been nice to see a UGA Michigan rematch.

But the way this game is going, we might be at house when the championship game gets played.

Explain 6 straight bowl game losses? Michigan lost todays game fair and square. Both defenses sucked….but TCU stepped up.

Like I said, they had their chances. Still sucks to have a legit TD pulled off the board and lose by 6. They still should have punched it in.

Giving up 51 is also a bit misleading on the defense’s part…2 pick 6s, not that giving up 37 is stellar. But Michigan wins that game 3 out 4 tries, tonight was the 4th. Didn’t say it wasn’t fair or square, so relax. Stuff happens.

EDIT: as far as 6 straight bowl losses… Seriously, who cares? They’re all meaningless except for the CFP. Only two programs have made last two CFPs in a row: Michigan and Georgia. I’ll take losing in the CFP semi final if it means we keep beating OSU.

That last play was targeting. Drive should have kept going.
Agreed. That was the other big call, or lack thereof I was referencing. Still, don’t want to make too many excuses re: officiating. Still had our chances to capitalize and win. But yeah, refs did not enforce the rule there, as lame as it would have been.

I heard a discussion today that said the issue was that the TCU player led with his hands and that makes a targeting call less likely as it wasn’t called on the field. Add to that the rule that the player would have to sit out the first half of the “big game” and they let it slide. I will say that Michigan profited from a few missed calls (especially on at least one touchdown) so I guess karma balances it all out.

Letting it slide because a guy has to sit out is a total trash reason. Either enforce the rule or don’t have it. I personally think targeting in general is a bit out of control and rule needs to be revisited. But if it’s in the books, it should be enforced.

I don’t disagree, the fact that they didn’t call it during the play was a critical contributing factor according to what I was heard.

Well that game didn’t hold a candle to the 2017 Rose Bowl when it comes to complete pants-on-head insanity, but the result was a lot more satisfying.

Well-played flyover by a section of Bones to start . . . tapping burner for a few seconds at the 50-yard-line to start the climbout was a nice loud touch.

Not college football, but the fact that Mr. Hamlin is still in the ICU...he's in a real fight.

One thing I've gotten out of the event is that I think pro football players get a little creeped out by fantasy football. That's leaked through in a bunch of comments I've heard. Don't play it myself.

Hadn't hear when I turned on the TV. It was maybe 40 minutes after he went down. All the talking heads were doing their thing. Making it all about themselves. How they felt, their experiences , etc. The scroll on the bottom simply stated MNF was canceled. No facts about the incident. I honestly did not know what happened and after watching the TV for about 5-8 minutes without being informed, Mrs Wink picked up her ipad and googled for the story. Fvcking TV news/sports people chap my ass. Self obsessed morons.

My brother-in-law and nephew were visiting from Cincinnati so we were watching the game at home. My assumption is that the MNF producers said to the hosts "keep talking, we need to fill this segment and we don't know how long the game will be on hold for" and so all they could do was just keep talking.

I have never seen CPR performed in a real-life situation, but it defies belief that the NFL told the players "You have five minutes to warm up and get back out there" after dozens of guys watched their teammate receive CPR.
