She has quite the resume…. What if she is right? Why don’t you email her and tell her so?
Where did you get your PhD @taxi1
Here's why I think she is an idiot.

Working from the back of her post upward, the current treatment protocols for Covid have been developed through trial and error and plenty of hard knocks and failures. So rolling them over, not intubating needlessly, Remdesivir, monoclonal antibodies, etc. The fatality rate has come way down.

For her to say Ivermectin and HCQ is all you need is to claim all of the 10s of thousands of treating doctors are all full of shit. It's been tried. It's not what is being used.

Second, the Delta variant and other arose before the vaccines hit the streets. There have been no explosion of new variants since we've distributed over a 100 million shots (knock on wood) so again she is full of shit.

Crazy ideas, poor professional work product and self promotion are distributed throughout the population. Earning a PhD does not exempt one from any of those . Millions of Americans without advanced degrees are smart enough to consider the evidence and pick a side. If we have learned anything these last several months, it is that PhDs, MDs and so called experts are not to be given a pass on anything they say. That includes the one supposedly "speaking truth to power". ( ? I hate that phrase.)

Oh, and I bet @taxi1 has a PhD.

In summary, Fauci, the CDC and Big Pharma are to believed and all opposing opinions are to be dismissed.

I didn't think Dr. Lindsay was an idiot until I read her tweet and identified two immediate, obvious errors in reasoning flying in the face of data. I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

To the extent that anyone believes her and doesn't get vaccinated, she's greatly increasing their probability of sickness and death.

You miss the point. I was pointing out to you and some others here that you must be just as suspicious of opposing views as the main stream views. There is nothing noble, courageous, self evident, or affirming, automatically conferred on opposing views. Some people are just contrary, some are self promoters, some are an embarrassment to their peers. A PhD or high government position does not exempt you from any of that.

Unless she is designing experiments evaluating vaccine effectiveness and risks, actively leading a team of researchers on the topics, and producing original published research that stands up to peer review, her status as a PhD is about as relevant as the color of my car. Her area of expertise is in pulmonary diseases as a result of chemical exposure such as asbestos. When it comes to COVID-19, she is clearly consuming the same open source data as anyone else on the subject - and cherry picking it just as much.

You wouldn't go to an orthopedist to get brain surgery. If I ever need an expert witness to testify in a mesothelioma lawsuit, I might give her a ring.

Fauci is a liar who is completely without credibility and neutrality. He sits atop a golden throne (highest paid federal worker in 2020 out of >2M) built on the lies and coercion of doling out funding and grants to only those scientists who support his maniacal gain of function research agenda, while denying and hiding any connection to Sars-Cov2. He reeks of favoritism and complete disregard for the safety of the human race for continuing to push (with money) programs that unearth and gene-manipulate the most deadly pathogens on the planet. If you can’t understand someone’s motives, look at the outcomes they produce. Fauci’s outcome is a global pandemic where he is the sole authoritarian and arbiter of truth (in his mind) and the coordinated governments of the world haven’t halted gain of function research, despite it being the most likely (Occam) root cause of the greatest catastrophe of the century.

Honest question: Why has the FDA issued a warning about using Ivermectin to fight COVID and others, like the doctor in the video praise it?

Another published medical article states "Overall, the reliable evidence available does not support the use ivermectin for treatment or prevention of COVID-19 outside of well-designed randomized trials."
Good question. Like we like to say, ivermectin is one tool in the tool bag. Combined with other tools, there are studies that show it can help prevent, reduce symptoms, and minimize the impact of COVID. This, combined with decades of safe use in other countries, show that's it's part of the solution to getting past COVID. Pfizer is now in the process of developing a drug very, very similar to ivermectin in their search for more money COVID treatment.

Unfortunately, like others have said, large studies still need to be done to show conclusive evidence. Who will pay for the studies? Well, not the government and not philanthropists largely invested in vaccines. Real-world data with India using Ivermectin as part of the treatment plan in the majority of their districts show the differences between those districts that did use it and those that didn't (against, presumably, the delta variant).

Sources:
Dr Joseph Varon also has some interviews about using ivermectin and has said his hospital had a rate 5x lower than the national average fatality rate for COVID.

I'm sure there are more studies showing promising results. Like most things, to answer your first question, is misuse. Don't misuse a drug; don't miscalculate dosage. Don't try to eat a whole tube of horse paste just like you shouldn't murder your husband by giving him fish tank cleaner.
