Copy that. Whats your designator? Just curious.I was told Fridayi should have been getting it that day, but in true Navy fashion didn’t hear anything.
Billet assignment is going to take a few weeks if not a couple of months. At least in my case it was 6 months from notification of selection to INDOC drill weekend at the NOSC. For me, circa 2009, it was:I've only received the call from my recruiter notifying me that I was selected. Would that be the next step? Just asking for my own sake.
Thanks
I am prior enlisted but had a 7 year break in service before getting commissioned. If you are a drilling Reservist I would guess you could cut three months off of the timeline assuming you do not have to go to MEPS or wait on a PQ letter (you are already medically/physically qualified, etc.).Thanks for information @bubblehead. Just curious if you were prior enlisted? Just curious if this timeframe is different with new recruits vs actively drilling reservist.
That’s the boat I’m in.Waiting to see which unit. There are several possibilities all of which I’ll know at least someone I’m sure.I am prior enlisted but had a 7 year break in service before getting commissioned. Word of warning to those who are drilling Reservists and who were selected. It is imperative you are assigned to another unit after you are commissioned.
Try to get as far away as humanly possible, even if that includes changing regions and traveling for a couple of years. It's well worth it. Some of your enlisted colleagues will handle it well and be happy for you, others not so much. That’s the boat I’m in.Waiting to see which unit. I can hardly believe that I was actually selected. I'm in shock and afraid it's a mistake like the year I got the call I made Chief to only be told it wasn't actually me, but one of the other IS1 Joshua Johnsons. My recruiter called me last night and said he had trouble finding my name since it apparently got put under a different recruiting district result which is the reason I'm scared. Anyone know if these get publicly listed somewhere?
