I've been meaning to ask this for a while, and just haven't gotten around to it. When you guys are studs, how much of your Jet flying is as a solo? Is it 20%, 40%, 50%? When you guys solo, you are signing for the aircraft. Do you get "Aircraft Commander" time? I would doubt it, as I'm guessing you're not desginated by the CO yet. In primary, I never had any A/C time when I soloed in VTs or HTs, so I'm guessing it's the same for you all.
When you are winged, when do you get designated as an Aircraft Commander? Is it after the RAG or is there a syllabus at your fleet squadron. Some of this is probably in Opnav, but to be honest, I'm too lazy to look, but since all the pointy nose guys are single piloted, it would seem that you would need the designation almost immediately. Just curious about all this because of the demands of being the only pilot in the aircraft would require different requirements than the helo guys, who usually don't make A/C until after a deployment or some extended period of time.
