WTS-Sig P229 DA/SA .40 Non-Railed...

I don't think Airwarriors should become a Buy/Sell forum but I figure I've posted on here enough a little sale here and there won't hurt anyone!

I offered in another thread for "MOT" to buy my P229 and got several pm's from people curious about it so here's what I got.

I have For Sale a German made Sig P229 in .40 S&W with contrast sights. It has an "AD" serial # on the slide, and was purchased new by my father in 1995, and has a Sig verified build date of 11/30/94. My Sig does NOT have proofmarks on the slide or the barrel, have been told that though verified made in Germany by Sig, it's probably not old enough for all the marks<----I'm not a Sig historian by any means.

I'm including 1 zipper back 10 round mag as well as the original grey box and owner's manual.

The only noticeable wear is a small rub mark on the top of the slide. It happened while in transport, something in my leather gun pouch lightly rubbed the top of it. It has never been holstered but has VERY light wear on the edges from 13 years of being taken in and out and being my bedside gun for the last two.

My Dad is a gun collector and it was essentially a safe queen while he owned it, with barely 100 rds down the tube. I purchased it about 2 years ago from him when I learned I'd be eventually qualing with P228's and wanted to put in some time with it. I put another 200 down it and it shoots great.

I'm asking $475 plus you pay shipping, and yes I know this is a steal. I'm located in Beaufort, SC, and would be willing to do a face-to-face as well. Payment type can be negotiable, and I will ship it to your FFL from my home address.

Any more questions you can PM or Email from the board. BTW, my original asking price was $550 which is more than fair in my opinion, but I was trying to sell it on AR15.com for about a week and since I've lowered it down to like $500 on there, I figured I needed to give you all least the same deal or better.

And lastly, have no fear, though I'm selling it, I'm going to buy another Sig, and a 1911, and a Remington 870....I just have to make my wife think I'm thinning the herd before I go on a buying spree.
