W's, low grades and repeats???

Calculus I and got a horrible teacher, i'm gonna end up with a D in there probably. I thought about dropping the class, but decided to stay in and take my chances in hopes that i can pull back up to a C. If I don't, I'll have to repeat it next quarter. I was wondering if when I go to apply to BDCP at the end of this year if it's going to hurt me by that repeat showing, even tho I kno I can make an A in there if i dont hav such a bad teacher? Is it possible to explain in your app that I had a bad teacher and thus the reason my first grade was so low, or will the repeat be frowned upon? I'll still hav a 3.65 gpa in Electrical Engn/Computer Sci double major.
