What is Aviation Preflight Indoc. (API)?

I do not know much about API, but I have heard various things here on this site. What exactly is it and how much flying will we do during that time?

This is a good site to see the basics about API. There is no flying at API. That starts at primary. (you fly at IFS before API if havent made a solo xcountry before, but thats off base in fun cessnas, pipers, etc.)
