@ChuckMK23 gave me a Rothco Roll-Up Hanging Morale Patch Board for Christmas...thanks a ton, Chuck...and then I busted my HSL-45 name tag while attempting to install it...thanks a ton [again], Chuck. :D

I don’t celebrate Christmas because Christ isn’t real and there is no God. I did make myself an outstanding brined turkey meal on the 24th, because I was skiing on Christmas - as one should. 😁

Thanks again to @ChuckMK23 ...the patch board is getting there. Also, does anyone have a spare vintage HT-8 patch from circa 1987/1988 that I can purchase from them? I seem to have lost my original HT-8 patch.

Attention @Griz882 ...what was the significance of the white tape on the AOCS name tags? Did it signify that you [and your class] were secured? I’m having a senior moment...and I can’t clearly remember what the deal was with the white tape.

White might have meant that... who knows. I think the red was for broke body (no remedial PT because it might aggravate the person's injury). Was there another color for the candidate officer class? I can't remember. I think we wore CNTs for our last couple weeks and that was enough to distinguish us from the lower classes wearing their wash khakis. That and those goofy little gold bar candidate ranks on the collars.

I forgot about those "physical fitness" pins. I think you had to pretty much max out the pushups and situps (67 and 100) and do the run in under 9 minutes for that one.
