Hi everyone! My windshield just ate a rock today and I'm getting it replaced tomorrow. What should I do with the DoD sticker? Should I just rip it off and destroy it, or do I have to bring it with me to get a new one issued? Thanks!

Rip what you can off. stick it on a piece of paper and take it to pass and tag
I've had some put the sticker back on with no problems.
We had our cracked front window of our van replaced and the guy that replaced the window was very professional and took the sticker off the old window and placed it on the new window. Ask if your repair person can do this....if not, then have it scrape the sticker and take it to base security for replacement.
Are these decals manufactured out of platinum, or are you guys just trying to save John Q. Taxpayer 10¢?
No. They are trying to save themselves from less than ideal hours that most base offices have, the potential line the day you need service, the travel time and the explanation to the person at the gate as to why they have no sticker. And yes, they have a security thread in the sticker which is a matter of national security.

What is the point of these stickers if we are doing 100% ID check now?
Believe it or not the Air Force has said the same thing and are no longer issuing decals. (At least, not at Langley.)
