If you thought socialism was the biggest concern, I think you probably missed mine and others biggest problem with AOC’s policies. There's nothing in the constitution about capitalism or socialism, and there are a whole host of examples of long-standing government policies that clearly fall within the definition of socialism. Yes, a lot of what AOC has proposed is hare-brained, but just because she proposes an idea doesn't mean that it becomes law or policy. Those who oppose her will find more traction in calling out specific policy proposals on their merits, instead of flailing their arms decrying the socialist bogeyman.
I have atleast 2 off of the top of my head that are literally batshit crazy. However, ACO hasn’t even given anything worth debating on it’s merits because her proposals are vague one line bullet points with no actual ways, means, and ends to her policies. It’s like she posted a meme, waited for a response, and then forgot to post any actual content. Very millennial rollout actually, and I’m not sure she actually understands the structural requirements and adjustments of the government to accomplish what she proposes. She is either naive, close-minded, or ignorant and I’m trying to figure out which one in the face of a melodramatic conservative MSM. There are also doctored GND proposals running around adding to the confusion. The populace has to jump to vague generalities of what would happen vice anything specific. Wherever that path goes - It’s authoritarian in nature at the very basic levels and does not stand a chance in the legal challenges that would absolutely come from citizens. Not in this thread, they're not.
