This has nothing to do with aviation, but to those of you who have been in the military a while will appreciate this.

On the afternoon of 14 Feb I sent an e-mail to US Army Officer Records at the Army Personnel Command to request a copy of my official microfiche. It arrived in the mail TODAY. I actually don't expect you to believe this, if it hadn't been me I would be skeptical myself.

No, I don't believe that one. It took me a year to get my microfiche and nearly two years to get my OQR sent to my unit. You got it sent to you even with a "96" staring him in the face. Impressive. Frumby

I thought that I was pretty lucky just being able to track down my prior service record. Then I was even more amazed that I got a certified copy in the mail a week after I requested it. I guess every now and then eventhe desk jockies get motivated.

MAJ Frumby, I swear on my honor as a rifleman that its all true. I've never said this before, but perhaps the Army has figured out how to do one thing right administratively. It didn't used to be that way. It took about 6 months to get my fiche prior to my O-3 board. I do, however, think that this means the rest of my process will take approx. 107 years.
