FYI... for current and former fliers (and fans) of the PV-1, P-2V, P-5, SP-2H, P-3, and EP-3, there are two organizations. One is for vets of VP-1 from years 1969 - 1974, http://www.vp1pops.com. The other is for vets and friends of anyone who flew from NAS SOUTH WEYMOUTH, from 1942 - 1997, http://www.vpnavy.com/vpassociationnews.html.

We went to the first two VP-1 POPS reunions and had a great time, but, damn, there were a lot of OLD people there...

Seriously, the folks behind this organization have done a wonderful job of keeping things going. Huge BZ to them.

I was in VP-6 when they got the Upgrade "B" model and was the ComNavAirPac Natops evaluator for Radio Operators and IFT's. Huge improvement over the original "B".
