Trying to get to MEPS

Hi everyone. I am hoping someone here can offer some advice to me. I got a pro-rec from the June boards for SNA, but since then have not been able to make any progress with MEPS. In June I sent in all of my medical history work, my PRK and prior kidney stone being the notable parts.

However, since then it has gone back and forth for 3 months between my recruiter and MEPS. Each time they ask for additional information to be sent in, I scramble to my doctors and get the information in within 24 hours. Then its another wait.... and another request from MEPS for something else as these 3 months have passed.

I am being patient, but I also want to be as proactive as I can be. Does anyone have any advice for me or someone I could talk to to see EXACTLY what MEPS might want? That could maybe allow me to bypass more 3-4 week waiting periods by banging it all out at once. Thanks.

I was in your same situation for my left wrist fracture. About 6 weeks of back and forth with MEPS and the health providers I went to. After the 4th or 5th back and forth with MEPS, I was finally allowed to go in for my actual physical.

Nothing you can do really except get them as much information as possible, hospital records, xrays, specialist reports, etc. When your recruiter and/or paperwork processor submits the new information to them, they are required to get back to you within 48hrs. Is there any other records you can proactively pull?

It's annoying, but rest assured it's the way to go. You'd rather do this now than have them realize later you didn't put it down.
