I "field repaired" the shredded engine nacelles of my A-4 with ordnance (speed) tape... with the phonecon concurrence of maintenance at home plate
.... it was either that or I didn't get home.
I was on the transient line at an AF base, no less -- it drove the Zoomies crazy.

I stand corrected. This is why I just fly them and leave the fixing to the experts.I did. Actually last week.
Leading Edge Slats of the MD-11 are aluminium parts and therefore repairable with speed patches as per SRM. There was a puncture roughly about a quarter of a square inch.
Deferred to next A check or sufficient maintenance opportunity (which ever comes first).
I thought I'd posted this before ... anyway ... long story short:Come on, A4's, you can't just give the punchline of the story and leave us hanging! How did you shred your nacelles?
