Every now and then people ask questions about various job fields and things and look for advice. While we all hold various reservations about some communities in our Naval career, I thought it would be interesting to hear from you those jobs that you thank god the other guy is doing, or jobs you otherwise consider not an ideal way of having fun.

Desclaimer
This is not a community bashing thread. You definitely have a right to your opinions, but I like to hear a little bit more otherthan "It fvcking sucks", "It blows"

SWO.....Oh the horror!

There is really no explanation needed, it's obvious if you hang around them for even a little while. But:
- overworked
- eat there young
- thankless job
- stab each other in the back
- wear black shoes and sweaters
- no sense of humor
- knock aviators than wear our flight jackets
- wish they were aviators
- way too serious
- jealous of aviators
- find more ways to make work where none exists
- leadership is giving an ass chewings. It's weakness to praise
- do things the SWO way, not the smart way
- the only right way is the bosses way.
- why leave the ship? liberty is over rated
- zero defect mentality
- there are many SWOs trying to switch to aviation, there are none in aviation trying to switch to SWO (that alone says it all)

Do a search on this board and look at sailorbob.com - SWO is just plain scary.

frigain mortuary affairs...........ok..........I win..........close the thread.

I have heard stories from mortuary affairs guy - horrible things. The sad thing is that some of the guys in these units - (at last USMC) were field cooks and things before the higher ups found them another AR(area of responsibility).
