Whats the deal with the new T-6 Texan trainer? I have read the specs and they are pretty impressive. Will the Marine Corps and Navy be replacing the turbomentor anytime soon?

The delay will be a good thing for the USN. By then the Texan II/Harvard II will have matured quite a bit, saving the Navy all the headaches that have been experienced at Moose Jaw, where the type has been operated since the winter of 2000.
Though I should add that the problems have been pretty much sorted out, and NFTC is getting over its 'teething' problems.
