Tear Jerker...

Not to preach too much here but I'd like to add a couple of brief comments.

Throughout our short lives we are occasionally challenged. Our actions in certain situations are truly significant, people watching or not. Michael Monsoor's actions are an example to everyone.

Today is a day where our country celebrates its independance. When you are out celebrating with these folks, go ahead and share Michael's story with them. Rep or Dem, don't let the fear of controversy get in the way. I think it's a good thing that this story may/should be cause for some kind of internal reflection about life's purpose wether one agrees with it or not. Thank you Michael Monsoor. Your service and sacrifice has touched me and others and I am thankful for your service.

Couldn't agree more with everything you said, thank you for posting. I was truly speachless on what to say when posting this. I had already heard about it and actually gave a presentation on what he did during second term of this year. One can only hope to leave an impact and touch lives as he did.

Don't ask me why...

But I was in San Diego last week and made the trip out to Point Loma to pay my respects to this great man and his service to the county. The worker that showed me where he was buried said they were waiting for his team to retun and they are going to replace his headstone to reflect his receiving the Medal of Honor.

Anyway, a very moving moment for me. His head stone was covered with trident pins.
