I recently went to the doctor for a civilian physical and was told I tested positive for TB but that it wasn't active. I'm going back for a re-test in a week. Just wondering if testing positive for TB is a disqualifier for a pilot slot. Thanks for the info!

Nope. I tested positive for TB in college and was told it not active. It never did resurface in any military tests. I recommend the retest and do not itch or scratch the test site. You may get a false reading if you scratch. Frumby

Frumby,
Thanks for the response. I really don't think I have TB but what would happen if you tested positive in a flight physical, but it wasn't active? Would they just give the antibiotics?

As I understood it "yes." It should not be a reason to consider you NPQ. Frumby
