Interesting posts. Does this really help?

Just curious what it helps with, cockpit FAM and/or NATOPS EPs?.

I think it is the ultimate chair flying as long as the cockpit looks good. It gets you used to the scan pattern for the plane. I am not sure if it will help me much here, but when I got my private, the 172 in there was identical and helped me in ALL aspects of that training. I know the training is way different, but it never hurts as long as you do it right.

It does a decent job of giving some fam to the cockpit. You can also go through some procedures for level-speed change, P/O Stalls, Approach turn stalls, spins, and turn patterns. It's just good enough to get you to talk through the procedures while seeing what happens to your instruments, etc. Later on it can help with some nav stuff from what some IP's have told me.

I found it! Its on the microsim disk if any of you have that. The IFR panel is money, looks almost exactly like the real deal. If you want a copy, I believe the microsim PTT disks are available at both wings. Here is a pic just so you can see the difference:

For some reason the quality is not very good on that screen shot, but all the gauges work and are crystal clear. I won't reapeat anything he said, just say I agree with fmr1833.
