Surfing in Texas

I was wondering if there was any good surf near the Kingsville,CC area?

Only if you catch a tropical storm a couple of days before it hits, then the surfing is great, other than that you're pretty screwed. I took up boogie bording because you can get an ok ride without as big of a wave, you might try skim boarding some guys in CC invented it.

Sorry, not much surf. I agree with Coota0. Wind surfing is popular too, but difficult to learn. Boogie boarding at the river levees further inland is fun. If surfing is your thing Guam and Hawaii have the best (navy stations), S. California is almost as good.

Ummm, I highly doubt that. Skim boarding has been around in Cali and Hawaii for a long time.
