AAFES.com is having a GREAT deal through Dec 31st: order online and use the promotional code of 6HOLIDAY2 (on the checkout page you put it in the box at the bottom and hit validate, if memory serves) and you can get 25% off. They also do price matching (though I am not sure exactly how it goes, though there is information on the website), so you can get an 80 gig iPod (for example) for around 270.
Also, there is free shipping on most items, but 100 bucks extra on oversized items.
Lastly, you can open a Starcard and get an additional 10% off.
So go for the price matching and try to get the add'l 35% on that 40+inch plasma HDTV...the porn will look better and you will have saved cash.
You beat me, slacka! I wasn't able to use it for a computer, as "Aafes Mall" purchases (ie Dell, GameZone, etc) aren't eligible.
If you're a first time STAR CARD purchases, SHOULD be able to get another 10% off.
ALSO - Aafes.com does ONLINE PRICE MATCHING ... so if you find, say, an LCD TV on Bestbuy.com's web site, email or call Aafes.com (
http://odin.aafes.com/newsletter/match.htm ), and tell them to match the price.. then tack on your 25% ..
I didn't do it, but I did the math and found the Philips - Ambilight 42" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV 42PF9731D/37 on both Bestbuy.com and Aafes.com web site. Bestbuy has it on sale for $2300. Get the price match, tack on 25% - $2300 - $500 (Max $500) = 1800... - $180 (additional 10% if using STAR for first time) = $1620 + $100 = $1720 shipped. If it all worked out ok.
Source for the code was from here:

As someone mentioned on there, 25% is limited to one time per person - HOWEVER - someone on the above linked thread said they bought with their name, and then their spouse created an account using their SSN and what not and was able to make another purchase using the 25% code.
Another note, I guess sometimes STAR sends 10% off coupons.. may be able to use that as well. Unsure.
Oh, and I won't be in today... in case you hadn't noticed. :sleep_125
