Can't believe that nobody has started this yet. I looked to these last year to give me an idea of where I stood-- apparently not as great as I thought considering I was not selected... yeah, well, hope y'all get involved.

Last year, only two people were picked up for Medical Corps. They were both from the Special Warfare community. A SOC and SO1. That was pretty daunting to see as an HM who is nearing completion of my degree.

So my record seems good but not as strong as some of you. My only hope is my officer interviews and CO statement. They were all 10's to the left and 4 of the officers put in some hand written comments to add value. I am very lucky to have some quality officers over here in a small command in Italy. Good luck to everyone.

What's up to all the new people that posted-- lots of very capable sailors out there! How'd everyone do on their interview boards? I think this year went much better than last year-- the officers on last year's external interview tore me up! I guess now begins the longest 3 1/2 months of the year! Good luck to everyone and thanks to everyone who posted-- once again, from what I have seen on this thread, there is an exceptional amount of talent out there! For the guys and gals that are applying for the first time: DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED if you are not selected this year! This is my third time applying-- it is extremely competitive! Just keep hard-charging and taking as much college as you can so that your package is that much stronger the next time.
