For those interested in the "Dark Arts" in the DC area, the NRO is going to display a KH-9 at the Udvar Hazy museum near Dulles tomorrow for one day.

Interestingly, up until last week it would have been a major security violation for anyone with a clearance to post the words "HEXAGON" or "GAMBIT" in relation to space-based reconaissance, but they officially came out of the black yesterday. (http://www.nro.gov/news/press/2011/2011-08.pdf)

What's nuts is how they snatch the film cans out of the sky. Wonder what platform they used for that. Anyone have any ideas?
