ground effect works real well in gliders when you barely make it back to the airport. not that i know from any personal expierences......

plus doing that kind of flyby at 130 kts in a glider makes a really cool sound. again, not that i know from any personal expierences.....

Why cause the wings are starting to come off? That's a do-not-exceed speed for many platforms...

The Vne speed for the glider i do those flybys in is 155 so no need to worry about the wings coming off. It makes a cool sound because with most flybys, you only hear the engine noise come and go. With a glider, you get a really neat whooshing sound.
