I'm an SNFO currently in Primary.. I would love to eventually be stationed in southern california, but from what I've read I can't really tell if that's an option for me. I know that S-3s are out there, but those will soon be out.. Have almost all of the Hornet and Tomcat squadrons moved to Norfolk and the desert of Cali? Or is there still some possibility of getting either in Southern California?

There aren't any west coast Tomcats, and well, those are going away too. All the hornets are in Lemoore, while the Marine hornets are in Miramar. Basically, your last shot to get SoCal is the E-2. Thier up in Point Magu I believe. The only other squadrons in San Diego are HS and HSL, and seeing how you're an NFO, that isn't an option.
