Sneaker stretching

Does anyone know if it's possible to stretch running shoes? I know you can buy stretchers, but I've always assumed those were just for leather shoes. I didn't realize when I bought them, but my new running sneakers are pinching my right toes.

Just break them in? I bought a pair recently that were doing the same thing to me. After putting a few miles on them, I haven't had a problem with them.

I've put a few on them already... I'm going to keep trying, but I want to make sure I'm not going to injure my toes or anything. :D

understandable. Next time you buy shoes, try them on! Oh and make sure you do it at the end of the day as your feet are generally bigger (swelling) at the end of the day.

how often have you worn them? sometimes you can return/exchange them. new balance offers that, but.... they may be the only one.

you can TRY to get them wet in HOT water, put them on (no inserts), let them mold to your feet for a bit, and then take them off and let them air-dry thoroughly.

generally speaking, your running shoes should be 1/2 to 1 full size larger than your regular shoe size.

good luck.

I've worn 'em a few times, but I don't have the box or anything. I tried them on in the store, but I guess I just didn't notice... it feels like it's getting worse. Thanks for the tip, snow... and yeah, I should've gotten them a half-size up. I hadn't bought sneakers in at least 7 or 8 years, so I just assumed the tightness was that "foot support" thing I'd been hearing about. :D
