First: If any other college guys are getting over with their semesters about now, I'd love it if you used this as a thread to share your experiences :) Up to you of course.

Oh the joy, oh the agony.

My Fall 2003 semester as an undergraduate studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Colorado is complete, and my God, what a doozy.

Save for a two hour nap late Tuesday morning, and some sleep I just got a little while ago, I just completed a 35 hour stint of being on campus, awake, finishing a mini-design project with 90% of the rest of my fellows in the senior class (the other 10% went home around 3 AM to get a little sleep before coming back to the lab at 8).

All finals are complete, all papers are turned in, and I can now relax for the first time in a truly long while.

I'm only on here ranting because I'm so happy to be done, and I'm too tired to go to sleep right now.

I don't know... I'm sure the DIs at Pensacola read through this stuff, and maybe even the gentlemen in Millington. Hell, I'm just telling the freaking world about myself right now, and I love it. I'm so happy right now, because I know I've done the best I possibly can this semester. I worked hard. I can accept whatever grades come my way, and I can still be happy with me. I hope they reflect well the time and effort I have put in this semester.

I will be meeting with my recuiter again this winter break to re-submit my package in any case. Choice #1 = Pilot, baby. I'll make it happen one way or the other in due time. I know I can.

Well... I'm going to commence extreme relaxation shortly. This will likely involve an extended period of sleep. Later this break, the family's headed to New Orleans, wohoo :) I love having family down there, it's such a cool city.

Mebbe I could convince my parents to take me to Pensacola one day while we're out there ;) Only a 3.5 hour drive according to MapQuest. Or mebbe I should wait until I go to OCS to return to the city where I was born... hmm, decisions :)

Ahhhh, so happy, so relaxed, so ready to commence a far-too-short winter break. I look forward to classes next year (especially Naval Sciences 3020, Nav II :) ). First though, must not think anymore for a while.

Ok, I've ranted long enough. Bed, hooooooooo!

Congrats Buddy, I know how you feel, I just finished another semester in aero science. Hey by the way, have you been selected for SNA yet?

Negative, but oh do I wish.

Yay for the re-application process :) I'm gonna send in my application so many times, heck, I might re-send my application after I get selected just for $hi7$ and giggles :)

YAY winter break!

Any other college guys out there?? I wanna hear from ya! :)

Why are you talking to us losers instead of celebrating at the sink or somewhere on pearl?!! Congrats though, I know exactly how you feel to be done with that f***in' engineering school and to realize that youll never have to set foot in the ITLL again. I do miss illegal petes though, even more than I miss my girlfriend in Csprings.

Yep! I just finished my semester last Thursday! I'm still at school though 'cause I'm working this week. Finals week was hard... I had to work durring finals week and I had five final exams. I got my grades back yesterday, I wish I could have done better but I worked really hard this semester since I've already been rejected twice for NFO. I'm applying again over break. Only one semester to go until I get to graduate!!!!! Hopefully I will have been excepted by then 'cause I don't know what I'll do if I haven't been...

I didn't think Illegal Pete's was that impressive that it would rate over a girlfriend.

Yah, I gotta say, rating Illegal Pete's over a chick is pretty harsh for your chick :) Not to mention, I'd take Qdoba ANY day over Illegal Pete's... their chicken is far more tasty. So what if their "signature" is to stir up your burrito :)

Anyway... yah, the celebration will begin more in ernest when I actually have the energy to celebrate.

For holiday, yah, the Chem Es rule the ITL at night. Sure sure there are lots of classes for the Aero guys and Mech Es to play around with during the day, but, after closing, the Chem Es seem to be the most significant presence in that place bar none... a lot of it thanks to the fact that our Sr. Design class needed to use software only located in the ITL. Ugh and a half. I'm glad to know people that work there who wont kick us out after close :) It was my home for that 35 hour stint I mentioned previously.

I'm hopin my GPA is where I want it to be this semester... show the Navy continual improvement and stuff like that.

One thing that kinda sucks, our house has gone to hell over the last few weeks. I live with 3 other engineers, and this semester has been particularly brutal on us all. Therefore, we've had little to no time/energy to actually clean our place. This is something we are trying to accomplish today now that we're done with school. I can't wait to see the countertops in my kitchen again :)

Anyway, hope everyone is coming down from their academic "high" in a sane manner. Wohoo!

hey everybody, im going to make all of you feel good, i'm not a tech major, im psych so its a bit intimidating to see some of your guys stressin out to get pilot slots. im a state kid at california state long beach. i am hoping for a 3.5 gpa. anyhow are any of youse guys athletes as well as being tech majors? are any of you not affliated with the navy yet? it seems in your profiles you guys are all sna's or all applying for it. im excited to see some other motivated and interested people in naval aviation. i don't know anyone else who wants it either and everyone thinks im nuts for studying on weekends. if anyone out there is a non tech or tech major i am interested to see who the navy is gravitating towards because i am no engineer.

Just got through with my first semester at Riddle. Finals weren't that tough. Or so I thought until I got my grades back. Doh!! If I would have got one more question right on my physics final I would have had a 4.0 . Yea, I know it must be easy to all you engineers out there, but for me physics is the devil! Oh, well maybe the selection board will have mercy on me. Doubt it though.

I just finished my semester too. Didn't go too well at all, just too busy between getting married, working nearly 40 hours a week, doing stuff with the reserves, and a huge project class. Only one class left though, graduate in May. Will apply once I have PRK but pretty sure I won't get in, unless my reserve time helps me out a lot. My GPA is pretty crappy right now, so will be taking the GMAT soon to start work on my MBA, hopefully I won't have to complete it to get in, but I will if I have to. Good luck to everyone and have a great holiday!

I'm non tech. I'm getting a law major. And I do sports too. Freshman year I ran cross country and track and was on our dance team and although I haven't ran since then I've been on the dance team ever since (we dance at football and basketball games). I've been told I'm gonna get made fun of for that alot when I get in the military but I don't care, I love it! It's alot harder than it looks and it takes a lot of work. When I ran and danced frosh year I got really sick because I didn't have time to eat, so that's why I had to stop, but I was pretty good! (19:01 5K... I'm a girl)
