Sear block removal on pre-ban AR-15

I was gonna post my own pics, but this guy has already done it. My procedure looks a lot like the pics here...but, I used an air powered cutoff tool in addition to the dremel tool.

The problem, as you can see in the above link, is that the sear block is a single pin install, making removal difficult.

Works like a charm and much cheaper than taking it to a gunsmith. Although some places are only charging $60-90 to ship it to their shop.

My hangup was that I could not find a competent gunsmith in the Reno area. One guy said it was illegal. One guy said he could do it, but fumbled around with the Timney trigger and finally agreed that the sear block did need to be removed. Three or four others didn't have the equipment to do so....I had assumed that the removal process would take a milling machine.

Anyway, I am pretty darn happy about finally getting this thing out. Coyotes beware.
