I'm still very new to all this..i'm looking at program descriptions. It says 36 month sea tour. Does that mean I would be on a boat for 3 years?

Not necessarily. A sea tour just means that you are in a deployable status. The P-3 guys do their 3 year sea tour without spending one day underway and even carrier air wing folks aren't on the boat all the time.

Would you like to do the rest of my 3 year shore duty tour in exchange for your 3 year sea duty tour? I have a year and a half left. but it feels like 3 years and the working hours are worse then sea duty working hours. Its about even. It will be fun. Come on you know you want to do it. Please............................
