scoliosis?

Does anyone know how much of a problem minor scoliosis is likely to be during a flight physical, or has anyone heard of anyone who's had issues with it? I think I've got a very mild case, and it's the only medical disqualification I can think of right now that might get me when I take the physical.

Ahem...um, to be polite you don't have scoliosis unless you've been diagnosed by a M.D., and it's been documented. Get my point? In the wise words of my father, "KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT, IT NEVER HAPPENED."

Gotcha. The closest thing to a diagnosis by an MD I've ever gotten was my grandfather (a pediatrician) saying "it's not that bad, he'll grow out of it" when I was 12 after my school nurse thought she saw it in one of those mass screenings they give all junior high kids. But it's never come up since.

It is not problem at all (at least for me). When I had my physical, the doctor noticed a curve in my spine from a chest xray to look for TB. It was previously undiagnosed and they sent over to ortho. The doctor there looked at the xray drew two lines, measured the angle, and said that it was within standards (I think 15 degrees). I didn't even need a waiver for it.

15 degrees? Jesus Christ. I'd be amazed if someone could even walk in a straight line with a 15 degree hump. Sounds like I don't have anything to worry about.
