The 10/22 is very easy to customize. I have four of them; two are highly customized.

They're fun. Good rodent killers. They work great for killing gofers, rabbits, woodchucks, possums, coons (raccoons), and any other small pesky animal. I haven't tried it on coyotes.
The folks over at www.rimfirecentral.com have tons of ideas and examples of custom 10/22. They're so easy to work on the skies the limit.
Get it, you won't regret it. You can make 'em into just about anything you want, and they are a ton of fun to shoot. I love mine, glad I bought it. The great thing is ammo is cheap for it so you can still shoot a lot and have some left over for customizing.
