Rough Landing

ZoomByU

Woo Woo
I was coming in from las vegas to Midway in chicago and we had a pretty rough landing. There was cloud cover and we didn't break the clouds till maybe 45 seconds before touchdown. when we got on the ground we noticed the picture. I thought it was pretty fun. The guy sitting next to my girlfriend had his hands over his mouth he was so scared when we landed.

Good data. Just to give folks some perspective, that aircraft broke in two at ~900 FPM descent rate. Normal VSI descent rates on a carrier landing (at least for a Prowler) are 600-1400 FPM.
