ROTC and DOD Decals for cars

Are ROTC MIDS allowed to obrain a DOD sticker for their car? Any info would be helpful.

To my knowledge, not NROTC mids have DOD stickers on their cars (not given by the unit anyways). I do know a few rotc guys that did get DOD stickers when they had to go onto a base for summer cruise. Otherwise, our unit doesn't give them out at all. It could differ from unit to unit, however.

If you are on scholarsip or advanced standing, and you have been issued a military ID, then you can get a DOD sticker ( I guess it would depend on the base though). BUT your car has to be registered under YOUR name not your parents. At least thats how it works at MacDill AFB\

The base will decide if you can get the DoD registration/stickers. Dobbins Air Reserve Base gave them to Midn ... but NAS Atlanta wouldn't (which is especially weird since they are just two different entrances to the same land).

Some bases just won't give them to people unless they have to come on base regularly (i.e. the person works on base).

THanks for all your help. I was able to get one on friday. All you need is a DL, Mil - ID, registration and proof of ins.
