Roommate wanted in downtown Pensacola

My girlfriend has a great apartment in the Seville Historic District, downtown Pensacola, and is looking for a roommate. She is a Marine SNA at primary at Whiting and is planning on staying for advanced helos. She is not moving closer to Whiting.

The master bed/bath is available. Huge walk-in closet. Kitchen/dining/washer/dryer furnished. Tile/hardwood floors throughout. Office space upstairs for studying. Great view of the bay/3 mile bridge. Designated off-the-street parking. Room for one small pet (she doesn't have one) available.

The apartment is 3-7 blocks from all the popular bars/restaurants downtown. All the local festivals/events/artshows/farmers market take place within 5 blocks.

$675/mo + utilities. Utilities are about $75/person.

Downtown is great. Wish they had some sort of express transit to Whiting.

knowing what I know now (after 9 months down here), I would never again live at Snug Harbor. This place is the best of all worlds. 40 mins to Whiting, which isn't horrible either. 15 to API/MATSG.

This really is the best place to live in Pensacola if you ask me. 15 minutes to NASP, 10 minutes to the beach, 40 minutes to Whiting, 15 minute walk to all the good bars. Looks like an awesome place, somebody should definitely take this.

Agreed...had I been a Whiting guy, I would have tried to live there, though when I went through they were still making all Navy SNA's live in the Pines

She's a Marine, therefore I'm not worried about some Navy guy, so sure, you could try to find out if there's an open door policy. She's pretty good with a pistol though... :icon_wink

Seriously though, in the original post you mentioned she is "planning" on staying for helos. Does that mean that she is, or that it is just going to be at the top of her dream sheet when she selects. I only say this cause it could make a difference to a prospective roomatte (not trying to be a dick and unecessarily crap on your thread).....one who might not want to pony up the rent for someone who ends up moving a couple months later.

I don't know the name of it. It is a set of 8 condos with no real "name" to them, all privately owned. I know the one she used to live in is for sale, but still has tenants. It's on Zarragoza street right on the water.
