I know the currently about after 20 years you get half your base pay as a retirement and like 2% extra each for every year over 20. I thought I heard something about the military going to start a 10 year retirement without, of course, reduced benefits. Anyone heard anything about this?

You mean with reduced benefits. Never heard anything about a ten year retirement plan. That doesn't really make any sense, especially for pilots.

What you heard about, and what many people confuse with proposed/future policy, are the findings of an independent study to look at alternatives to the current system - nothing more.
