I was wondering if civ. flt. time has to be reported when beginning flight school? I heard that those with previous flight time can go through an accelerated program. If this is true, is the accelerated program optional? The reason I ask is because I have about 290 hrs. of flight time - I have my commercial liscence and Inst. ratting - but I haven't flown in about a year and half, and probably won't fly until flight school, which is about a year away. Obviously I am not current and won't be when reporting to flight school, so I would prefer not to go through the accelerated program. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
