"Upgrade" to .300 Win Mag, new scope, new stock, well pretty much new everything but the receiver and trigger = one butt ugly rifle but if it works who cares I suppose. :icon_mi_1

I have to agree with you there... there is such a thing as TOO tacticool.

Seems hard to believe you would need a full length rail over the top for a precision rifle...


If it works thats all that matters in the end though.

I really want to know how the suppressor and muzzle brake work in unison. And I REALLY want to know if a suppressor actually works with a .300mag. I shoot a .300wby with a muzzle brake and ya, the dB's are pretty high.

Apparently it works well enough... Barrett just redesigned their M82 muzzle break so that it could work with a suppressor without modification.... the M82A1 no longer has the big triangular muzzle break we all love

All I can think of is that the full length rail on top allows them to use flip up back-up iron sights if they wanted (don't know why they would want that). They probably just did it because they need the rails on the side near the front for the PEQ-15 (or whatever snipers get that is probably better) and they didn't want to just smooth out the top.

That thing has a pretty sweet scope on it. Leupold 6.5-20x50.
