On the application, does anybody know if a professor is Mandatory? I transferred colleges 3 times, graduated 2 years ago, and don't talk to a single professor. 2 I emailed said they wouldn't feel comfortable writing me one even though I got an A. It just seems so pointless. Can you just have 5 others?

Not mandatory, but OSOs seem to like it. You can do just as well with many other types of references. I got accepted OCC 189 air without a professor reccomendation. Good luck with the app!

be sure to tell them it´s not an actual letter of recommendation, just a questionnaire style page that takes a whole four minutes to fill out (kind of unnerving for such an important application, huh?).

"How would you rate this person´s ability to handle a stressful situation, 1-5, etc"

Yeah, that was a little "weird". I tracked down former professors who had moved, retired, and so on, just so they could "high-five" me on a questionnaire. How much can that thing say about your abilities? It sucks, because these same profs wrote me AWESOME letters for grad school.

There is also a sweet little box area for comments...you can fit at least 5 sentences in there, though I think my ref's attatched letters...
-my favorite was "ability to live in confined quarters'....
