Hi,

I wanted to get a head-start on the reading and studying involoved in Primary. Does anyone have any good books they would suggest reading? I looked threw the gouge, but without the text book it's not much use,

Thanks,

Courtney

Start learning the emergency procedures. As long as you can get those down, the 2nd week of ground school will be a breeze. Try finding/borrowing a NATOPS manual and photocopying the pages with the black/white barber pole running down the side of the page. Those are the EPs.

Sure don't. Are you not down in Pensacola yet? If you are not, then I wouldn't worry about it before arriving here. It's not that hard to learn if you start early (ie, the last 2 weeks of API). Then just keep up the pace.

http://www.navygouge.com has all the EP's for the T-34C, as well as some money instructor gouge that easily breaks down the procedures.

CAF? I thought you guys had about 200 T-6's? Anyway, good luck and keep posting, it would be interesting to hear about the Canadian T-34 training.

Courtney,

NFTC/2CFFTS (Canada's training unit) uses the T-6 (CT-156 Harvard II officially), which is quite a different beast from the T-34. I''ve got a study guide for the Harvard II, not a big one, but its a good start, with info for YMJ ops and systems diagrams for the T-6, among other things. Send me an email if you'd like it, its a word doc.

Shutter, your a tad high in your estimate! I wish we had 200, and an Airforce large enough to justified having that many. To meet the needs of the CF and foreign students at NFTC, we actually only have 24, though 2 more are now on order after Hungary joined the program recently.

take care
