I bet it's an expensive hobby. I saw that show Tactical to Practical the other day, and they had some RC F-18's that were a couple feet long and had actual tiny jets engines. They can fly as fast as 200k. That was awesome, but I don't think I'll pay the 25-30K for it.

I admit that it is so unbelievable I was thinking the same thing at first. But if you do watch the whole thing I think you'll see things that make it very very believable, things that would require a hollywood effects specialist to fake. the inverted hover 1in from the ground comes to mind. And shots where the surroundings are in plain view during the stunts. There's no photo shopping something like that man.

I don't see any reason to believe it's not real. If you've watched any type of RC competition you'll see those types of things performed so often it'll get boring to watch. I was impressed by how he linked everything together and the technicality of the performance, not how INCREDIBLE it looked!

Yeah, I've obviously been away from that hobbie for a long time then, because when I was going to competitions to spectate, no one was pulling anything like that. I found it to be quite incredible. How awesome is it to be so good at something that you cause people to question whether what you're doing is even real?

I saw a guy take his helo and sit it on it's tailboom on a fence post with its nose straight up into the sky....the only thing that kept him from leaving it there was the engine would slowly flood out. I saw another guy do the same thing with an airplane, except it was over a pond...and he would dip the rudder assembly into the water like a teabag!
