Very interesting. Bleeding edge technology, but what if there are friendly troops in the vicinity?

I would think that constantly running a powerful phased array system would tend to cook anyone around it. May not be great for urban warfare scenarios, but it look cool nonetheless. I'd be surprised if Ratheon didn't have a work around.

IMHO more ridiculously complex, impossible to implement and wasteful solutions provided by the good folks at Raytheon.

Likely just another way to needlessly sperate the taxpayers from more money.

How about jets and helos with enough spare parts, enough OPTAR to fund a decent flight hour program for squadron pilots, and body armor for our troops.

Yeah, that was my first thought as well... an AESA radar on a Stryker? Even on the Rhinos with AESA, it wasn't exactly a plug-and-play device... needed considerable redesign to make that work...
