Quick question about the ASTB in San Diego

Hello,
I just talked to a recruiter who told me the only place to take the ASTB is in Riverside or Irvine. Since San Diego is such a big military town, I would have figured there would be somewhere closer to take the test. Has anyone else been to the test center in Irvine?

They give those in test centers? I took mine in the recruiter's office. That's weird.

They do now, ROTC units can no longer administer them either.

I took the ASTB in San Diego about a year ago at the ASW base. I think they sre still giving them there, but I'm not sure. I talked to an enlisted recruiter at (858) 573-0331 and he gave me the number for the officer recruiter there.

I will definetly call NRD San Diego and reconfirm. It just seems a little out of whack that I would have to go an hour and a half north to Irvine to take the ASTB.
